The course program includes lectures and classes on the navigation bridge simulator - a total of 30 hrs.

The navigation bridge simulator used for training is Kongsberg K-Sim Navigation (covered by the manufacturer's long-term support system - software and hardware) .

Advanced ship models are used (including an icebreaker), and the system allows realistic reproduction of ice conditions - we use the Szpicbergen region (Svalbard).

Exercises include navigation in ice conditions (ice fields, icebergs, etc. ), mooring/unmooring maneuvers of a ship in ice conditions, sailing in convoys using an icebreaker, freeing a ship which is stuck in ice, etc.

Complies with 7.12 IMO model course.
